Pre White Card - Program Information
***3 workshops held over 3 consecutive days***
- 9.30am - 2.00pm
- Flexible delivery: Face-to-face or hybrid online
- Supportive small group session
- Learn what you need to know to get a White Card
- For ages 14+
The workshops;
- Are an introduction to the concepts, documentation, terminology & legislation that is used in the building and construction industry.
- Will assist learners gain an understanding of the concepts and responsibilities of the key stakeholders prior to undergoing the formal training to gain the accredited qualification.
- Provide a clear, supported pathway to Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (CPCWHS1001)
Perfect if;
- You are new to the construction industry
- English is not your first language
- You need help with reading, forms, maths or computers
Skills include:
- Understanding signs, symbols and diagrams
- Using safety terms
- Following simple workplace procedures
- Being part of safety discussions
- Using numbers in a construction context
Please note: These workshops do not form part of the assessment for the formal training of Work, Health and Safety (WHS) for the Construction Industry White Card (CPCWHS1001), when conducted by an accredited trainer within a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
