If you’re looking to gain a competitive edge in the hospitality industry with essential skills in housekeeping, this face-to-face course is perfect for you.

Becoming a Room Attendant, is a great entry point to gaining employment in the local Hospitality Industry, right here in the New England Region.  New England Community College - Housekeeping Training – Delivered by Australian Training Plus, is a  professional development program that will provide you with the knowledge and skills required to provide housekeeping services to guests.

You will learn about preparing and cleaning rooms and essential customer service skills that will give the skills to gain employment in the Hospitality Industry.  It will also keep you up-to-date with these industries in Australia.

Course Structure & Delivery

The course will be delivered at our Armidale campus over four days, the first 3 days will be face-to-face theory training and day four will be practical training & assessment.  The training will comprise of 3 Nationally Accredited Units of Competency:

• SITHACS009 Clean premises and equipment
• SITHACS010 Provide housekeeping services to guests
• SITHACS011 Prepare rooms for guests

These Units can go towards a formal Certificate in Hospitality.  The training will be delivered by experienced Hospitality Training Professionals and will include practical training in a simulated Hospitality Environment.

In this face-to-face – practical course, you will gain the skills required to thrive in a customer focused, fast-paced environment, opening a world of opportunities in housekeeping and guest services.  On completion of this online housekeeping course, you will be equipped with basic housekeeping knowledge and entry-level skills to apply for roles within housekeeping and accommodation cleaning departments.
